At a very young age, I remember listening to my mother play Beethoven and being changed by it.

I wanted to be able to play the music that had touched me so deeply through my mother’s hands.  It was not too many years later that I was able to feel that same music coming from my own hands.  By the age of 7, I began singing as I played the piano. I had found my passion.

My hunger to grow musically manifested itself in a desire to encounter as many musical cultures as possible.  Over time, my musical interests encompassed not only my classical piano roots, but also included rock and roll, jazz, choral music, and contemporary Christian.  This diversity of musical experiences allowed me to nurture my need for music and my desire to share my love of music with others. My desire has not only been to perform music, but to teach it. Opening Studio 88 in 2006, was a long time dream that finally came true.”

Upon graduation, Beth taught music in a private school in Lexington in addition to offering private piano instruction.

Beth Dean didn’t choose music, music chose her.  It is in her bloodline.  It is what she does, where she lives, and who she is.

“As a child, it became obvious at the age of 5 that music was going to become an extension of me. I could not get enough of the piano.  It became my friend, and still as I sit down to bring life to it…

it brings life to me.

For 10 years, Beth was the director of music at Crossroads Christian Church where she developed and led a team of semi-professional musicians, creating a meaningful worship experience for the congregation.

In 2002, Beth recorded “GROW”, an original CD, showcasing a variety of styles.

Beth was influenced to perform by the music of Heart, Fleetwood Mac and other rock artists. Current influences include, Adele, Diana Krall, Sara Bareilles, and Corinne Bailey Rae. Her ability to transform her voice into many musical styles highlights a truly unique talent, and with that comes versatility for any event.

In 2010, Beth was chosen as the classical pianist for Prince Faisal of Saudi Arabia during his stay at Castlepost in Versailles, Ky. prior to the opening of the 2010 World Equestrian games. During the final performance of her four night engagement, the audience was so taken by Beth, that the Prince invited her to join them for dinner.

Beth enjoys crafting music to fit the style of each event, ranging from small private engagements, to weddings of any size, and large corporate events.

Beth is an avid motorcyclist, a dog lover, and is working toward fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming a pilot.
